Homages Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to express about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he cannot recall "any day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order put a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public personalities expressed varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the those speaking out last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by proposing that an adviser could have acted when the decision to speak on the tragedy was made.
