A Palestinian-American youth having endured nine months in Israeli detention absent formal charges was released.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 during his detention last February throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.
American diplomatic officials said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.
Now sixteen years old, needed medical care right after being freed, according to close relatives.
They said he is showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues acquired while detained.
Via family representatives, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "tremendous relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, our priority is getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention he needs after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment for months."
The state department announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.
{"American leadership has no higher priority than the safety and security of US citizens"," the department emphasized.
A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to the state department and President Donald Trump, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.
Mohammed's parent, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop from Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
There were no visits nor direct contact since the arrest, learning information solely what had happened to him through judicial records.
The teenager remained absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary throughout the occupied territory.
The facility also contains grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities including killings.
There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, per correctional service statistics.
Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, as well as the United Nations, document cases involving mistreatment and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, Mr Kadur said they would maintain their efforts for justice for his cousin their cousin Sayfollah.
The dual national youth per medical officials died from beating by Israeli settlers during a confrontation in July.
During that period, military authorities reported officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian was deceased.
Both young men collaborated in the family ice cream shop from Tampa.
No indictments occurred with Sayfollah's killing.
"We demand the American government to ensure our family's safety," family representatives emphasized.
